January is lame. The holidays are over. It's cold. We realize we no longer fit in our jeans after Christmas. It's just not very fun in my opinion. As such, we generally plan a vacation for sometime around January. This year we had a lot of ideas, none of which seemed logical with a two-year-old and a five-year-old. After a lot of research and planning, we finally decided to go to Disneyland, even though we'd gone the year before.
Once again, we had a lot of fun. Though I don't think anyone has ever gone to Disneyland and not had fun. If they have, they're not my kind of people.
The highlights of the trip were:
Light sabers! Simon is now really into Star wars and as such, Jacob, Simon and Lucy built their own light sabers. We also watched the Jedi Training Academy.
The treats! We each got a treat a day. Did you know calories don't count in Disneyland? Apparently my pants don't know that rule either.
Princesses!! Lucy is ALL girl. She loves princesses and was so excited to meet them. This trip, I became one of those moms I used to make fun of, who stand in line for an hour to meet princesses. It was more than worth it. We also met Minnie, Mickey, Lightning McQueen and Pluto. After Lucy's breakdown at Pluto, we had to explain that the characters would not take her. They may pat her, but it's okay. After that, she relaxed... a little.
This trip was very relaxing because we had just been to Disneyland. We didn't feel rushed to ride everything 25 times. Surprisingly, the kids were good and so were the crowds. We love you Disneyland. See you in a few years!!!

Looks like you guys had a great time! I'm glad everyone enjoyed it.
Next time, Lucy will be old enough to go to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and then you will discover just how high your tolerance is for supporting the princess obsession!
So fun! Why go anywhere else when you can go to Disneyland?
Where was the 2nd to last picture taken?? We never saw that. We'll have to go again I guess. Next time we'll go with you. :)
