Walking

At just under 9 1/2 months, Lucy took her first steps on August 24, 2011. Now she is to the point where she only crawls if she needs to get somewhere quickly (like if she's trying to keep a toy from Simon, or escape from me). 

Preschool

Last Tuesday, Simon started preschool. There were a lot of tears, but the good news is, they were all from me (and I waited until after I got in the car to drive home). The night before, we watched Toy Story 3 together as a family. After, Simon brought down a box of toys and asked me to take care of them while he went to preschool. That also made me cry.
The good news is, Simon loves preschool. I have no idea what he does since he claims not to do anything, learn anything, or know anyone, but his art projects and smiles prove otherwise. 
I can't believe how fast this kid is growing up. We love you Simon!!

Family Visit

A few weeks ago, Jacob's sister Shannon, her daughter Amelia and Jacob's mom came to visit for a few days. We had such a great time. We've missed them so much since we moved and it was great to see them. Lucy and Amelia are going to be best friends, they just don't know it yet. These girls are so cute together!
